Hi,
What is the difference , if any, regards looking through Maui Jims HCL & Lava lens ( both STG ) as the red mirror is overliad on the HCL ?
Looking to get some sunnies for everyday use ( inc a fair bit of driving ) ..live in London so not the sunniest part of the world !!
Also considering Serengeti but not keen on their frame selection

I’m considering purchasing a pair of MJ STG HCL Bronze, and I already have the other two (I’m a sucker for a decent contrast lens).
What I’ve noticed so far is that I love the Oakley and the Serengeti for different reasons. The Oakley boost red and green, and bring out greenery in brightness that the Serengeti do not, but, the Serengeti push down the green in order to improve contrast and provide a viewing ‘experience’, it’s almost a perfect aesthetic. What you lose in bright green is made up for in unbelievable contrast while keeping colours relatively true and with no one colour being overly weighty, which often feels the case with the Oakley.
I’ve been considering getting MJ HCL Bronze, and I’ve read a few reviews and they look spectacular, like a first-rate lens, but I’m not sure where they fit in between the Oakley & the Serengeti,…

I bought a pair, and in my opinion they are ‘meh’ sunglasses. They pale next to MJ and Serengeti, and are nowhere near as good as Prizm. Has anyone else got any experience with them?

In a pair of RB Chromance silver mirror grey gradient lenses, today and not at all impressed - zero color pop/contrast. I like many of the RB frames but lenses, meh….what a disappointment in these chromance lenses they should have put crystal in these higher end CF frames.
