Oakley Sunglasses for Golf (that isn't prizm Golf)

Unfortunately the Oakley Sphaera Slash does not have the prizm golf or prizm dark golf lens. It does however have the field and road which both have rose lenses (i've read this is good for golf) and similar VLT. In fact the Road (I'm leaning towards this) is very similar to the Prizm Golf but would love other's opinons on this.

Which is better: Ray-Ban G15 polarized glass lenses or Maui Jim Mauipure polycarbonate lenses?

Hi Manuel

The answer depends upon how good your eyesight is. A glass lens will usually have a higher ABBE rating than a plastic, nylon, or polycarbonate lens. However, Mauipure lenses are most-likely the closest to glass lenses for clarity on the market today. So, your eyesight would have to be exceptional to notice any difference.

The VLT for Rayban polarised is around 11% for green and around 12% for brown, whereas the variety of Mauipure lens base colours and mirrored coatings is generally between 10% - 21%.

So....... 'better' really depends what features and benefits are important to you and what you intend to use the glasses for? Eg. Driving, snow skiing, fishing, general purpose or sports.

Maui Jim Ultra Green Mirror

Has anyone tried the Ultra Green mirror? I’m curious as to whether the tint is different compared to Pure as it is with the Blue Mirror and lens material used.

From what I’ve read so far, the Green mirror is more consistent over the whole lens in the Ultra and they are significantly darker than the ‘Pure’ version. 12% instead of 18%

Can anyone confirm this?

AMP lenses for my Persols

These Persols have been sitting in a drawer for the past year or so. I had eye surgery this year and so the prescription in these glasses was no longer appropriate. So, rather than have them sitting around doing nothing I ordered some polarised AMP lenses in green from Fuse Lenses in Florida USA. https://fuselenses.com/

Took a while to ship to Australia but when they arrived they fitted nicely and are great to wear. So now, my reading glasses are having a new life as sunglasses. The AMP lenses are colour enhancing. These lenses enhance green of course, but also make yellow, red and purple 'pop'.

There is Sunglass Fix in Australia & their top-tier uses Nylon/PolyAmide lens, which has superior clarity to PolyCarbonate.

Their brown lens has been compared to Mau Jim MauiBrilliant
